Volunteering at Shavim

Yes, true giving from the heart is what attracts a lot of people to volunteer. We welcome everyone with open arms: Those who come to us once or for a limited period of time, and those who have been volunteering with us for years and have become an integral part of our team. Here are a few examples :

  • One volunteer comes to one of the occupational training centers once a week and meets with specific rehab patients for two hours for one-on-one discussions.

  • At another training center, there was a volunteer who for several years gave a weekly exercise class to rehab patients.

  • Some volunteers only come on holidays (mainly groups of students who have free time during the holidays) for various jobs at the center.

  • Some volunteers come to perform technical jobs like gardening, painting and repairing, and still...

The word volunteering is synonymous with Shavim’s worldview, which is that a sincere and genuine desire to give is at the foundation of everything. To give a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, to offer support, guidance and encouragement. And the payment? Payment is made in the most valuable currency in the world - the wonderful feeling of giving that made someone else feel good, which fills the body and warms the heart.

We invite you to get more information about Centers
Rehabilitation for training and employment integration in the various areas:

Still the work is plentiful and to us, every volunteer is a blessing that we are so grateful for. This is why we ask anyone who wants to volunteer - old and young, individuals or groups, for a short or long-term relationship... Please contact the professional staff at any of our training centers.

What will you do? How can you help us? There are so many options. Here are a few examples:

  • One-time group activity on a weekday / holiday

  • Teaching an extracurricular activity according to the volunteer’s knowledge and skills

  • One-on-one meetings with rehab patients

  • Improving the appearance of the factory (donating equipment, painting, wall murals, redecorating, gardening...)

  • Helping the factory staff with various jobs at the factory...

Do you still need more information?

Do you need an explanation for anything else?

Would you like to meet face to face?
We’d be happy to help you in any way possible.
